We acquire used bulk bags from businesses across California and neighboring states. These bags would otherwise be discarded after just one or two uses, despite having significant remaining useful life. Our sourcing network includes agricultural operations, food processors, construction companies, and industrial manufacturers.

Inspect

Every bag undergoes a rigorous multi-point inspection at our facility. We examine fabric integrity, seam strength, lift loop condition, discharge spout functionality, and overall cleanliness. This thorough process ensures only bags that meet our strict quality standards enter our inventory.

Grade

Based on inspection results, bags are categorized into grades (A, B, or C) that clearly communicate their condition to customers. Grade A bags are near-new condition, Grade B bags show moderate wear but remain fully functional, and Grade C bags are suitable for less demanding applications.

Redistribute

Graded bags are matched with customers whose applications suit their condition. A bag that no longer meets food-grade requirements might be perfect for construction materials. This matching process ensures maximum utility from every bag in our inventory.

Recycle

Bags that don't pass inspection are sent to certified recycling partners who process the polypropylene into raw materials for new products. This ensures that even bags at end-of-life don't end up in landfills, completing the circular loop.

Repeat

The cycle continues as customers return bags to us after use, starting the process anew. Many bags cycle through our system 3-5 times before eventually being recycled, dramatically extending their useful life and multiplying their value.

Landfill Diversion

Since 2009, we've diverted over 4,000 tons of polypropylene from landfills. Each bulk bag weighs approximately 4-5 pounds, meaning we've kept millions of individual bags out of waste streams. Polypropylene can take up to 450 years to decompose in landfills, so this diversion has long-term benefits for our environment.

Carbon Footprint Reduction

Manufacturing new bulk bags requires significant energy and generates substantial carbon emissions. By reusing bags, we avoid the emissions associated with new production. We estimate that our reuse programs have prevented over 8,000 metric tons of CO2 emissions — equivalent to taking 1,700 cars off the road for a year.

Resource Conservation

Bulk bags are made from polypropylene, which is derived from petroleum. By extending bag life through reuse, we reduce demand for virgin plastic production. Our operations conserve an estimated 2 million pounds of petroleum-based raw materials annually, preserving finite natural resources.

Water Savings

Polypropylene production requires significant water resources for cooling and processing. By reducing demand for new bags, our reuse programs indirectly conserve millions of gallons of water annually. In drought-prone California, this water conservation is particularly valuable.

Extended Product Life

The average bulk bag in our system is reused 3-5 times before recycling, compared to the industry average of 1-2 uses. This life extension multiplies the environmental return on the resources that went into manufacturing each bag, making the most of materials already in circulation.

Recycling Excellence

For bags that reach end-of-life, our recycling program ensures 100% material recovery. Working with certified partners, we transform used polypropylene into raw materials for new products — from composite lumber to automotive parts — giving these materials a second life beyond bulk bags.

Zero Waste Operations

100% of bags we handle will be either reused or recycled. No bulk bag entering our facility will end up in a landfill. This goal drives every operational decision we make.

Carbon Neutral Operations

Achieve carbon neutrality across all our operations through efficiency improvements, renewable energy, and carbon offset programs. We're already making significant progress through fleet optimization and facility upgrades.

Electric Fleet Transition

Convert 50% of our delivery fleet to electric vehicles. We're currently evaluating electric truck options and installing charging infrastructure at our facility to support this transition.
